Les Sneesby

Working in studio

Les Sneesby, a Regina artist, works in a variety of mediums including oil, watercolour, ink, graphite and coloured pencils.

His watercolour work integrates a healthy dose of drawing resulting in detailed paintings with surfaces activated by spontaneous marks inside the contours of forms, giving the finished product dynamism and stability.

Les is a past member of the Regina Federation of Artists and the Aurora Art Guild and has exhibited with a team of artists from Saskatoon called the ‘Group of 6 1/2’. Sneesby’s artwork has been shown in various galleries in Saskatchewan including the Saskatoon Mendel Art Gallery as well as in a solo show at the University of Regina.

Les is a current member of the Regina Art Collective (RAC).
